St. Peter's Church. John and his friends played the annual garden festival on July 6, 1957 (The Quarrymen). Previously, only military bands played the festival. Paul McCartney was 15 at the time, and attended the show. John's friend, Ivan Vaughan introduced Paul to John at this party.

The Liverpool Institute. Paul attended this school. George attended as well. He was not a good student. He formed a skiffle band with some friends, called "The Rebels". Rock and roll music was the only thing they were interested in. Paul and George met on the bus home from school in 1956.They became friends. Paul didn't tell George much about the Quarrymen, but on MArch 12, 1958, George saw them perform for the first time. After the show, George played guitar for them, and impressed them with his skills. He was adept at playing the lead parts no one else could figure out.

This is where Nems (The North End Music Store) was located. John would go here to listen to records for free. When the employees realized the kids weren't buying anything, they were kicked out of the store.

The Casbah. George's band, The Rebels, were booked to play the opening of this club, located in the basement of a house owned by Pete Best's family in late 1958. The band broke up before the show. George went looking forJohn and Paul to see of they were interested in playing the show. They did. At the time, they didn't have a drummer, but they dazzled the crowd.

The Jacaranda. A coffee shop where The Beatals, comprised of John, Paul, George, and Pete Best would practice. After John married Cynthia in August 1962, he would sometimes come here to hang out by himself, or go to a pub called the Blue Angel to get away and relax.

The Kaiserkeller Club. They play this club on October 4, 1960 with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. They played for seven straight hours. Gigs were typically very long then.

The Indra. Part of their Hamburg circuit of clubs. Back then, this place was a lounge. On weekdays they would play for 3 1/2 hours, and 6 hours on the weekends. |

The Top Ten Club. Located near the Kaiserkeller. They started playing here, but the owner of the Kaiserkeller was upset because he thought they owed him their allegiance. He fired them. They were on Visas, and George were underage, so he was deported back to England. Paul and Pete were then accused of trying to burn down a building owned by the Kaiserkeller's owner. They were arrested and sent back to England.

The Star Club. They started playing here in 1962.

The Cavern Club. Their debut gig here was on February 21, 1961. The club was located 3 floors underground. It was damp and dark. They were becoming known at this point, and were making more money than their fathers, at 25 pounds a week.

Abbey Road Studios. They audition for George Martin here. They played 32 songs. At first, they thought it was just an old house, but were impressed with it once they got inside and saw all of the studios. They recorded "Please Please Me" and "Love Me Do". George Martin didn't care for their original songs and thought Pete Best was lacking in skills as a drummer.

The London Palladium. On October 13, 1963, they play the TV show "Sunday night at the Palladium". Too many people showed up, and security couldn't control the massive crowds. This may have been the night "Beatlemania" started, as "Beatlemania" was the headline in one of the London papers.

The Plaza Hotel. They stayed here during their first trip to the United States. The massive crowds forced them to stay in the hotel. They were amazed at the number of radio stations in the city. In London, there was one station. They called the radio stations to request songs.

Crosley Field. They had a scheduled show, but it was raining heavily. They ended up canceling the show (their first time canceling). They eventually made up the date. Demolished in 1972.
